Thank God I don't live anywhere near this place. I'm a delivery guy for a pretty big furniture store in Wisconsin and we recently opened a huge store down in Illinois so now we get a pretty good amount of cross border business. I was down near the border in Genoa City with my work partner looking for a place to eat and saw that the gas station we were at had an attached pizza place. I told him there was no possible way I was eating at a pizza place attached to a gas station. No, don't even ask, I'm sure it sucks. Who the heck is Wayne anyway? He threw a huge hissy fit and eventually we ended up walking in. I'm never wrong, but I'm willing to admit that in this case my initial judgement may have been a bit hasty. Wayne's was flat out delicious. Not okay, not good, but great. I kept it simple and just grabbed a few slices of pepperoni. Thick pan-crust, yummily greasy, and get this. They put a layer of pepperoni UNDER the cheese. And then more on TOP of the cheese. It's fabulous, unexpected, and horribly unhealthy. I love it. The whole place was full of FIBs talking about how great it was and how it was better than Chicago pizza (!) and how they wished they could take it home. I'm too fat as it is to want to take it home and I just hope they never open one near me. It would be impossible to resist.

I'm sometimes leery of restaurants attached to gas stations but I was very glad we stopped here. The food was great and the prices were really good! I had thin crust pizza and garlic bread. The others I was with had cheeseburgers, soup and hot dogs. They were all very impressed with the food. I would definitely recommend this place to others!

my wife went to your place to pick up a couple of your self proclaimed awesome pastrami sandwiches lets skip back to 13 years ago when we bought pizza from your place when we moved here, it was horrible! ordered a pizza again 4 months ago and it still sucks ! as far as your pastrami sandwich, you charged us $14.00 for something that I wouldn't let my dog eat out of a F***** dumpster!!! thinking about opening a pizza place out here just to put your scumbag operation out of business... I will never endorse your place and will tell everyone that I know to stay clear of your dump... I guess ripping off the consumer is the American way ? and don't bother sending any of your bullshit coupons because they will go right into the garbage ! have a nice F******** day !

I enjoy the pizza here (not a pizza conoisseur--just a cheese only person). The Italian Beef is outstanding as are the sides. Usually it is a very short wait when I drop in and order take out. Very friendly service, too. Highly recommend!!

I thought there is no way a place next to a gas station could be good. I was pleasantly surprised. Been twice and had chili cheese dog basket with fries. It's is decent for the price. Hot dogs weren't the best quality and the dice on the onions and tomatoes for the chili were quite large. It's cheap food. The pizza was pretty good.

Only been here twice, and both times I've gotten pizza by the slice. It was actually pretty good, which for some reason surprised me. Staff was also friendly and restaurant was clean and decorated nicely.

I like their pizza. The thin crust is great. They are fast so eating on a short lunch break is doable. I love the specials they have.

Great pizza! I will take it thin, pan, or double decker. They are all great. I highly recommend Wayne's if you're ever passing through Richmond, IL. You can get it by the slice, which is always cool if you don't have time to wait on a fresh pie. The pizza slices are usually fresh because everyone is buying them so there's always a pizza coming out of the oven when you arrive. If you love great pizza, you will LOVE Wayne's.

Wayne's is a small, (maybe 10 tables) unassuming, Pizzeria next to a Gas station at the IL/WI border just South of Lake Geneva WI. Service is friendly with lots of good-natured humor shared with regulars. The price is modest and the food is excellent! I especially love their Thick Crust pizza. Flavor in every layer from the crust on up. Their Hot Pastrami sandwich is one of the two best I've ever had (the other was in an NYC deli -- I order mine on toasted French Bread with grilled onions, sweet peppers, and a touch of Mayo, Oregano, and Red Pepper), and the seasoned fries are wonderfully crisp outside and tender inside with a tangy, zesty seasoning that goes really well with any of their sandwiches. The spaghetti and meatballs with either marinara or meat sauce is great (I add sweet peppers to mine) The homemade cream soups, when available are also quite good. Most of their business is carry-out and delivery. They discount generously for large groups dining in. Pricing -- 2 slices of Deep Dish pizza and a soft drink for about $5, small seasoned fries $1.75, Pastrami Sandwich abou $6. Highly recommended.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
